Birthday Weekend October 19, 2017

My birthday weekend started on Thursday, Oct 19th, 2017.  It consisted of going to Crust Pizzeria for lunch, eating at Souplantation, horseback riding, playing baseball, attending a fall festival, going to Haunted Aquarium, getting my hair and makeup done, and having a family dinner.

Thursday, I went to Crust Pizzeria because it was my 22nd birthday! I love pizza so I thought why not have a nice lunch there, so we did.  Lorena, Arlie, and Vanessa ordered a beet salad and a Stephine pizza.

After that, we walked in the park and

  1. It was so terrible because I fell.
  2. It was funny because Lorena was showing off her fantastic dance moves.
  3. None.

The answer is 2.

At night we went to Souplantation with my family.

Friday, we did not celebrate my birthday much. After school, I hung out with Rosalinda and we watched tv.

Saturday, I went horseback riding and played baseball. They were similar because:

  1. They had special celebrity players who wished me happy birthday
  2. People sang happy birthday to me

It was 2!

I also went to a fall festival with my Dad next to the baseball field. It was so cool like a 70s party because they had a wheel that you spin and a beanbag toss that was beyond my imagination. At night, I went to the Haunted Aquarium and it got us into the spirit of Halloween. They had a swamp critter band, some stingrays on display, a slime area, many areas for getting candy, lots of costumes, and a bioluminescence area. Ellinora, my niece, was there with Matthew and Anne-Marie. We left at the same time as she did.

Sunday, at 12:45 pm Aunt Laurie, grandma, my new nurse Michele, and I went to have my hair done, in Del Mar Highlands shopping center at Dry Bar. Omg this lady curled my hair and it was so pretty!

Next, to get ready for my birthday dinner, I went to to the new Nordstrom to have my makeup done. It was so lovely.

Lastly, that night I had a wonderful birthday dinner at home because my niece was as cute as a button. During the birthday dinner, I said, “This dinner is dedicated to my mom!” Dinner was so great because they had so much food! When it was time for cake… “Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Casey, Happy Birthday to you!”… I blew out the candle on a chocolate cake. My gifts were muffin soap for my bath, clothes, a necklace, and music. At the end of the week I will get a new game called Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga & Bowser’s Minions.

My favorite part of the weekend was when I had my hair and makeup done because it was so so exciting! I did not have a least favorite part. Overall, my birthday weekend was so fantastic because it was dedicated to my mom! Next weekend, I want to either take an indoor hike, or go golfing because it will be so awesome!

Weekend of October 13, 2017

My weekend was so busy but it was so fun! I went to the pumpkin patch, played baseball, went to Brick or Treat at Legoland, helped with the food pantry, had a dance lesson, and did Karate.

Friday, after school, Arlie and I went to the Pumpkin Patch in Carlsbad because we wanted to pick out a pumpkin, but it was so expensive! It was 15 bucks!  So we bought one in Trader Joe’s and it was only $2.99. What a deal!

Saturday, since I didn’t have horseback riding, I just went to my baseball game. The game was so great because I liked the coach’s emotion. Also, it was so hot!  At 4:35 pm, my dad and I went to Brick or Treat at Legoland. Brick or Treat is a special event in Legoland only for Halloween! I wore my Harry Potter costume there! I really liked the costumes because it was my favorite part of it! We saw a laser light show. Also compared to last year, they had more treat stations. We went to the Dragon ride, Project x roller coaster, Ninjago ride and Ghost cruise. Because I went to bed late Saturday night, I was so tired the next day! Zzz zzz!!!

Sunday, my Dad and I went to help pack diapers and canned food for the homeless. I was with Friendship Circle at Jewish Family Services. It was really cool counting and bagging 20 diapers. Then I had a dance lesson with Elle at home. I learned how to improvise to a song by listening to the rhythm of the music. Finally, we danced to the Arabian dance from the Nutcracker. Man… was it a neat experience!  Lastly, I did Karate practicing for my yellow belt. It was so enjoyable because the teacher was so excellent!

My favorite part of the weekend was when I was at Brick or Treat, and helping the homeless because it was so lovely and inspirational! My least favorite part was Karate because I need to practice until I can do it by myself! Overall, my weekend was so exciting! Next weekend, since I will be 22 on Thursday, I want to have my hair and makeup done because it will be so fashionable!

Weekend of October 6, 2017

My weekend was great!  I played the Game of Life, went horseback riding, played baseball, watched the movie Captain Underpants, went to see Aunt Laurie’s new house, and went to a Sukkot celebration!

On Friday, in the afternoon during school at ATP Lorena, Nick, and I played the Game of Life. It was so cool because you’re basically in a car and you either go to college or have a career. You get married, buy a house, go to night school, take the family path, go on the risky or safe path, and retire! It was so fun because it was her first time playing the game!

Saturday, I went horseback riding early because I had baseball. I did so well!  After that, I watched the silliest movie called Captain Underpants. It was about listening to one another and kindness.

Sunday, I had no nurse so my dad was my nurse. You can call my dad, “Nurse Daddy!” In the afternoon, I went to see Aunt Laurie’s house in Camino Del Sur. It was the most creative house because it was like an 80’s house. After that, I went to Chabad for Sukkot. They had a sukkah, a hut, and I shook a lulav, a plant, for good luck. They also had a violinist who was awesome! He played Israeli music.

There was also a ventriloquist show and he had:

  1. a person named John
  2. a shark
  3. a dragon
  4. a bear
  5. a plant
  6. a drawing that talked
  7. 2 dogs
  8. a turtle
  9. a cute baby!

Then the violinist played till 8 pm but my dad and I left at 7:15 pm.

My favorite part of the weekend was the sukkah because it was so cool! My least favorite part was nothing because it was all great! Overall, my weekend was ridiculously great! Next weekend, I will go to Brick or Treat at Legoland.

Weekend of September 29, 2017

My weekend was so peaceful and lovely! I went to temple, had dinner with my family,  and went to Shooting Stars.

Friday night, I went to Temple Solel for Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is a holiday that deals with the forgiving of your sins. It was so interesting because there was a different pianist from last time. My dad fasted from that night to Saturday night. You fast because the Torah tells us to and it represents our faith.

Saturday, there was no horseriding or baseball because it was Yom Kippur. My grandma, my dad, and I went to temple. I liked the service so much because it was like being in Sunday school. I even liked the Torah service because each alliot (the person to be called to do the blessing before/after the Torah and read the Torah) lined up in a line in front of the doors. It was so cool! In the afternoon, my dad, Alison, baby Joshua, and Grandma went to the afternoon service. In the evening, everyone came to the house for the breaking of the fast. It was so enjoyable because I was with my family!

Sunday, I met a new nurse named Michelle. She is so charming! My dad, Michelle, and I went to Shooting Stars in the Pacific Beach area. Shooting Stars is a club for Jewish girls. We made chains for Sukkot, which is a harvest holiday celebrating the fall harvest. We will eat in a sukkah, a tent, next Sunday! We also danced! It was an amazing day!

My favorite part of the weekend was temple because it was so breathtaking! My least favorite part was the fact that I didn’t have dance class. Overall, my weekend was awesome! Next weekend, I will go celebrate Sukkot at Chabad by eating in the sukkah because it will be so pleasant.
