Weekend of June 23, 2017

My weekend was swell. Some of the things I did were go to summer school, horseback riding, tried the YMCA, and went to Legoland.

Friday, I had summer school at LCC.    My teacher’s name is Trish. I had no aide so it was Arlie. There were some kids I  knew and some kids were new, but others from last school year were not at summer school because they were taking the summer off. For the first day, I was late because there was a home checkup. I got to school around 10:30 AM to check out the place.

Saturday, I was with my dad, and I went horseback riding. While riding Hollywood, I went over a bridge for my first time. Soon after, we rushed over to the YMCA. When we got there, my Dad said “Casey has been authorized by the Challenged Athletes Foundation to sign up.” The manager gave my dad a form and after that the manager asked “Why are you here?” My dad said,  “Well, I kinda want to know what classes they have.” The assistant took us on a tour of the Y. He showed us the aquatics area, which was my favorite part. He showed us some studios, the gym, and the wellness center. It was so cool because I had never been there before and I loved it! I could take the swimming classes.

Sunday, I went to Legoland with Cece. First we saw the Lego movie experience, which was awesome! After that, we saw the Lego friends show. “Go left, go right we’re celebrating tonight!” I went on the big boat ride, which used to have the Sidney opera house and now they have the London Eye, and the fairytale boat ride which had 3 little pigs, little red riding hood, etc.

At night I did karate at Sorrento Valley and we did self defense.

My favorite part of the weekend was when I was at LEGOLAND because it was so fun. I didn’t have a least favorite because it was so terrific! Overall, my weekend was  great!!!!!!!!!!!! Next weekend, I want to go to the YMCA to work out or go to La Jolla Cove because it will be so fun.

New York Trip June 17, 2017

My New York trip was awesome!

Saturday around 12:40 pm Rosalinda, my nurse, my Dad and I hurried to the airport and flew to John F Kennedy airport. We got there around midnight because the flight was delayed. We slept at my grandma M’s house which was on Sherbourne Rd.

Sunday I visited my brother Eric, Alex, my dad’s friend Ellie, and 3 different babies. They were named Theo, Torsten, and Ellinora. It was so fun seeing them in Manhattan.

Everyone was talking and I played on my iPad. After that we went to a buffet next to Green Acres Mall.

Monday, I went to my cousins’ house to swim there. It was so cold in the water but it was nice because I tried to throw the ball in this hoop. Unfortunately, I was so close but I didn’t make it in.  After I ate, Benjamin, David, and I played PlayStation together. We played this game where you drive a ball into the goal almost like soccer and hockey. Then at 5:15 pm I heard thunder and saw lighting the whole night so we ate there. It was so weird because we couldn’t go to a restaurant due to the rain.

Tuesday in the morning I got ready for something sad. It was my grandpa’s memorial so I read my poem. My dad’s speech was about what memories he had of grandpa. Grandma told us about when how Phil Zipser was golfing. The weird part was when she forgot to mention the fact that grandpa’s first words to grandma were “Do you play golf?” That’s not romantic. After that, we had a short service and we were praying for Grandpa Murray. It was so emotional because I miss my grandpa! After that we went to a Chinese/Japanese restaurant and they had a sizzling platter. Mmm!

Wednesday was a boring day because my dad helped Marjorie pack for her move. So we ate there. Marjorie is my grandma. She will move to the Osborn in Rye.

Thursday we flew home and I had the most comfortable plane seat I ever had. We came home and to celebrate, for dinner we went to Souplantation with Grandma Rhoda and Uncle Robert. I was celebrating the arrival of San Diego with Rosalinda and my dad.

My favorite part of the trip was when I was at the memorial because the speeches were well done. My least favorite part was the rain thing because we didn’t get to eat out. Overall, my trip was so amazing! Next trip I want to go to Hawaii or Jamaica because it will be an island like trip!

Weekend of June 9, 2017

My weekend was eventful because I had many activities planned. I went to Rubio’s, attended an orchestra rehearsal, went giddy up on my horse, went shopping for Theo, saw my friend Jaydon, and went to the zoo.

Friday, I gave MaryJeanette a goodbye gift, because next school year she will go to TPHS.

Our group went to Rubio’s but the other group took the 408 bus route because it was the same route as the Fair and Rubio’s. We took the 308, which was faster. Finally, we were eating together. At night, my dad and I went to the last dress rehearsal orchestra concert for the season and it was so pleasing.

Saturday, I did the same course in my horseback riding lesson but I took a wider turn in a part of the course. I did it badly/incorrectly the first time. Well, I was supposed to go to the outside part of the cones but I turned in the middle. The second time I did such a great job staying in the outside part ending with a high note! Then, we went to Marshalls for a present for Theo, my nephew, and there were the cutest clothes I have ever seen. Soon, at 2:05 PM, Jaydon came over and I talked to him. When I asked him what has he been up to lately he said…

  1. nothing.
  2. that he had Taekwondo, writing his own songs on piano, and took some classes.

It was B, and I played Niagara Falls for him and he played his own songs. The first song reminded me of a pop song but it didn’t sound  like a particular pop song to me. It sounded like a Miley Cyrus or an Aqua song. The next piece  was a Sonatina that I have played before. A Sonatina is an instrumental piece with piano accompanist. In the evening, I ate and slept.

Sunday, I went to the zoo with Cece and omg, I saw gorillas that were trying/attempting  to reach a toy. This big gorilla annoyed the baby because he was the king of this enclosure. We also saw this rat that looked like a pig. In addition, in the area where the apes are there was a peacock. On the bus tour, we saw a big tiger sleeping on the back right wall of the enclosure. It was cool because I kinda think tigers are so cute when they sleep. After the zoo, I wrote my grandpa a poem which was beautiful.

My favorite part of the weekend was when I was at the zoo because I liked that tiger so much. My least favorite part was that it’s the last weekend in SD even though overall, it was the best weekend ever! This coming weekend, I will fly to NYC for my Grandpa M’s memorial service. There, I want to either visit Radio City Music Hall, or walk around the city because it will be a Frank Sinatra-like fun filled vacation!

Weekend of June 2, 2017

My weekend was so great because our class went on the Flex bus to go to Target, I attended horseback riding, hung out at home, and went to the Safari Park.

Friday, our class drove to Target in Encinitas to go shopping for the last time this school year. Arlie and Norma had trouble finding long sleeved pjs. I asked the lady at the store if they have long sleeved pjs and she said, “Maybe by the women’s shirts?” They didn’t have anything because the winter sale was over. I also looked at some Father’s Day cards because it will be a nice Father’s Day. I found one that had a heart and bought it. Avery bought a Father’s Day card as well. Some of my classmates went to Mcdonald’s while I had lunch at Pizza Hut. It took us half hour to get back to Earl Warren on the Flex bus.

Saturday, I went horseback riding. I did a course in 2 different times. It was from 2 minutes 40 seconds to just 2 minutes. Then, I arrived home and I emailed Jaydon my friend from outside of class. I said, “Can you come today?” There was no email response. Instead I practiced piano and drums. At 3:15 pm, I got a message on my email from Jaydon, “Nope sorry how about next weekend?” I replied, “Sure!”

Sunday, I slept in, which was nice. Cece and I went to the Safari Park and I saw this chinchilla which was similar to a cute bunny.

I also stared at some bats and one was hanging upside down. The funny thing was I had a picture in the face of a bat and bat-eared fox. A bat-eared fox is a special kind of fox. The caption is Casey as Batgirl and Casey the bat-eared fox.

My favorite part of the weekend was the Safari Park because it was so hilarious taking a photo with that iconic fox and bat. My least favorite was when we could not find the pjs. Overall, my weekend was wonderful! Next weekend, I really want to get ready for my trip or hang out with Jaydon. I want to do both of these things because it will be a fabulous and awesome weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend May 26, 2017

My Memorial Day weekend was so awesome! I had a dance party at school, went to Mason’s 5th birthday party, drove to Warner Carrillo Ranch House, hung out at a block party, and watched 2 movies at Edwards Cinema theater.

Friday, I had a dance party in school. It was so cheerful because Ali, Nick, Alfredo, Olivia, Caleb, Duran, Acacia, Kimmy, Jason, Elizabeth, and Adriana were in room 40. I made the party amazing because I was the host [and made the invitation]!

Casey invite

We danced a lot to Barbie Girl, I Got A Feeling, and 24k Magic. We had snacks, and even did a craft. I also had disco lights that were so cool!

Saturday, on TV it was Harry Potter weekend so my dad and I watched the Sorcerer’s Stone and the Chamber of Secrets. In the afternoon, we went to Mason’s 5th birthday party. I was jealous because Ms. Sarah has 2 boys. “I’m jealous,” I thought. “I wish I had 2 boys.” Ms. Sarah is my old dance teacher. The party was at the San Dieguito Park. While there was a cake, there was no theme.

Sunday, I went to Warner Carrillo Ranch house and,

  1. I rode a horse
  2. It was closed
  3. We learned the history of the ranch

It was b. Yeah pretty disappointing right?  So we headed back home. It took a hour and 11 minutes each way and it was on route 76 and we were lost. The directions said, “In one mile, the destination is on your left.” But on the left, it was not there, so we headed to the other route and this time it was 12 pm so I was so hungry and it said make a U turn.

Cece said no let’s go straight. But my annoying iPad said, make a U turn so she made one and then it said, “in 5 miles merge onto route 78.” In the end on the website it said it opens at 12 pm, but a man said it was closed. I thought, what? I was so disappointed because there wasn’t anybody there. On the way home I saw many cows. At 5:15 pm my dad and I hit the road 5 houses up to a block party. I met 14 year old Elle and her 15 year old friend Gia from CCA. I said:

  1. Hi how are you, what’s up?
  2. Hi nice to meet you… show me a dance you remember from your recital
  3. Hi. Bye.
  4. Hey girl how’s life?

It was b. They showed me every style of dance that you can think of like ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop, even gymnastics, a little square dance, and line dance which was towards the end of the party. I watched them while the other people were talking, and eating/playing basketball. I was so tired after that because I had an exceptional time!

Monday, Arlie and I saw 2 movies, Diary of A Wimpy Kid, and Beauty and the Beast. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is about 2 families who go on a road trip to their grandy’s house for her birthday. The other one was:

  1. About a girl who meets a lovely man who is in disguise
  2. About a woman who wanted to marry the beast before the last petal falls
  3. About this couple who thinks a king, who  is in the palace, doesn’t rule a kingdom
  4. About this woman who said, “I don’t care! If the bride isn’t getting married, then we’ll never be ready for the wedding, the rehearsal dinner, the cocktail or the reception.”

The answer is b. My favorite part was the Harpsichordist character because he was phenomenal! The character’s name is Maestro Cadenza.

My favorite part of the weekend was both the block party, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Beauty and the Beast because they both were  so lovely! The thing I didn’t like about my Memorial Day weekend was when I was jealous. Overall, my Memorial Day weekend was so enjoyable! Next weekend, I want to pan for gold, like I have seen before at Old Town, or get ready for summer! I really desire to do one of these things because, it will be a summeriffic weekend!
