Weekend of December 9, 2016

My weekend was great because it was fun. I went horseback riding, watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and went to Family Day at the Natural History Museum.

Saturday, I went horseback riding on Hollywood, which was fun because I always love my horse; he is friendly.

At home, I finished my music final exam, and during dinner,  Cece and I watched a movie that is about a familiar animal who is with Santa and you know a song that goes with that movie?….”You know Dasher, and Prancer, and something and something, Comet, and Blitzen, and something and something, but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?”

I watched the movie Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and Cece told me she did that same play in 3rd grade. She was the Jack in a Box who was in the Land of the Toys and her line was “Nobody wants to play with a CECE in a box.”

Sunday, I went to Family Days at the Natural History Museum. There was a dinosaur with a Santa hat on top, a fake tree with lights, a movie that we saw that was about wild Africa, and a Ms. Frizzle show about Decomposers. Plus it was freezing.

My favorite part of the weekend was the museum because it was like a holiday wonderland. I didn’t have a least favorite part because overall, it was so gingerbread super. Next weekend, I would like to make my hair Christmasy or put on some Holiday makeup because although it will be a long break, it will be so exciting.

Weekend of December 2, 2016

My weekend was great because I did fun things, like go to an awesome concert, go horseback riding, and see Christmas decorations in Balboa Park. I also wrote a report about my concert experience.

On Friday, I went to the La Jolla Symphony and Chorus rehearsal. The first piece I heard was called Symphony of Psalms By Stravinsky, which had a strange orchestra with no  violins, violas, or clarinets. But the group had a choir, two pianos and a harp. The other piece had 2 violin soloists. It was a new piece called New True Mirrors, by Kevin Zhang, who is a student at UCSD and he was at the rehearsal. I loved it because although it was strange, it sounded great!

Saturday, I went horseback riding on Hollywood which was fun, because I did horse trivia. Horse trivia is when the rider picks a letter like M and then you get to say a word that begins with that letter so if my letter is M, my word would be Mane. At home, I started to write my report on my concert experience from Friday.

Sunday, Cece and I went to look at the Christmas decorations in Balboa Park. I  loved  the reindeer and Santa’s sleigh because it was so cute!

My favorite part of the weekend was the Christmas decorations because I also liked when the reindeer’s leg was dangling in the sleigh. My least favorite was when I did my report  because it took a long, long, time. Overall, my weekend was so busy! Next weekend, I want to either go see Santa and ask him for a toy piano or an airplane, or watch Rudolph the Red   Nose Reindeer because it will be sweet.

Thanksgiving Week November 21, 2016

My week was awesome because it was long, but what I did were I went to New York for Thanksgiving, I celebrated grandma and grandpa m’s 65th wedding anniversary, I also saw Theo my niece, I saw the 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and I went to look at Christmas decorations.

On Monday we went on a new airplane named Delta. Towards the end of the flight, there was a lot of turbulence. I got scared. Finally, we got to New York, (phew) and we took a taxi to my grandparent’s house on Long Island. It was so cold!

Tuesday, I went to look at where Grandma and grandpa m will move to after Florida. We went on a tour of it.  It is like an resort/hotel because they have a movie theater, a game room, a gym, a spa, and some rooms. I loved it because it was like a suite. Uncle Ron came too. After, I went to my cousin Jonathan, Ben, and David’s hours before going to a Japanese restaurant.

Wednesday I went to the Green Acres Mall with grandpa m to see the Christmas decorations.

Thursday, I was so scared that I saw a little of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on Verizon 360. Then in the afternoon we drove all the way to Eric and Alex’s place to see my nephew Theo, for Theodore.

He was so cute like an ice cream cone.

There was turkey [and lots of other food] too.

On Black Friday, I celebrated my grandma and grandpa’s 65th wedding anniversary. It was at an old restaurant in Roslyn. George Washington ate there [but not with us]. Our family told stories about Grandpa and Grandma M.

Saturday, we flew home early. I am  glad that I am home now.

Sunday, Cece and I went to Canterbury in Escondido. We looked at the beautiful holiday decorations for sale. At home, My dad and I watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade recorded on NBC.  I loved the Felix the Cat balloon because it was the first time they had it in color.

My least favorite was the weather in New York because it was freezing cold. My favorite was seeing baby Theo because he was adorable. Overall, my week was Christmas Sally great! Next weekend, I want to either make a wreath, or get my gifts for Chanukah because it will be fun and awesome!
