Weekend of June 20, 2014

My weekend was so fantastic! It started on June 20th, 2014 and was filled with fun things like going to summer school, seeing my friend Natalie, going horseback riding, playing around with my new tablet, going in my spa, and going to the Making Music museum with Rachel.

On Friday, I had my first day of summer school. I met new and old friends like Karen, Jacob, Rachael, etc… My teacher is named Melissa and she is so nice. I had her last year for summer school and I like her a lot. So we basically introduced ourselves on the first day. Then we took a tour of the school and when we headed to the field my wheelchair couldn’t go up there (because the weight room isn’t there anymore plus there is construction zone so there was no ramp). So, I decided to go back to the classroom and do my journal for my week. After that, we had snack break and I talked to Karen and she told me about adult transition and that’s what I will do when I am 21! So exciting. After school, I came home and saw my friend Natalie Fry who just graduated from high school and will go to college in Santa Barbara. So we talked, and we also listened to music, and played on my iPad. It was also fun because we hung out like what teens do. Teens love that!

Saturday, I was so busy because I went horseback riding and then I saw my good friend Craig who is Jonah’s dad, because Jonah’s mom will have a baby girl. Aww!!!! So when he showed up, I thought dude, hi!!!!!! I was glad to see him and he had an air guitar phone and when he played it, dogs from a big yard across the fence were barking so hard. It seemed that someone left the dogs out of the gate. One big dog, I think a golden retriever was hurt and one of the trainers walked him and the dog felt better. One dog I also saw was blind like Miracle, one of Linda’s dogs. Anyways, I came home and I thought I might want a picture with the tablet outside and so I did but one part of my yard was too sunny, the other part was shady. My dad positioned me in the shady part for the pictures. When my dad said, “don’t smile.” I smiled. And then we took a look at the new tablet and the book with it says to charge it and I was thinking ok we did not charge it before the picture… oh no I forgot to tell my dad to charge it before we looked at the book for it. Argh I thought as we started on the registration for the phone like what network, home network, password I can’t type it up because I may not know it.

Around 4:15 Rachel got me ready in my swim suit because I went in my… my spa or Jacuzzi and it was 93 degrees. I was like, “Hotter, hotter hotter…” I WANTED IT HOTTER. It was so nice with the bubbles and was like a pool, but my dad explained, “Pools are not hotter they’re colder.” After that   there was a Lawrence Welk show called “Summer sounds.” It was so refreshing because it was about sounds of summer. It was summer fun!!!!

Sunday, I went with Rachel to the Making Music museum. She had never been to the museum before. For one thing about the museum she loved it. Also, she loved the different instruments. Also before we looked around the cashier had a little xylophone like in the movie Grease. We spent a long time there then I went home.

My favorite part of the weekend was the museum because it was awesome! My least favorite part was the traffic going and coming back from the museum because of the busy summer fair traffic. Awful! Overall, my weekend was so calming but also too short. Next weekend, I want to either see the game of life on TV or go hiking. I want to do one of those things because it will be so exciting.

Weekend of June 6, 2014

My weekend was great. It started on June 6th, and was filled with fun things like going to Dog Beach near the fair, going horseback riding, seeing Jaydon, going to the Safari park, and going to Bob and Julie’s house.

On Friday, our class went to Dog Beach which was across from the Fairgrounds and I saw so many dogs in the water.  It was fun.

On Saturday, I went horseback riding and I went on a trail ride.  After that, my horse was not behaving well so I didn’t give him treats because he was not following directions. Then, I went home, ate lunch, and I went to Jaydon’s house. He played piano, and I played piano with him. Next, I showed him my jazz band video and the funny thing was Nemo dropped his trombone and James was laughing! Then I came home and saw the last horse race on TV. The races were in New York and guess what? California Crone didn’t win…I was so upset! It was so close!

On Sunday, I went to the San Diego zoo’s Safari park. I first went to the new Tiger Trail area and I liked it but, one tiger couldn’t walk it was limping and I was so sad. Poor tiger!!!! Next, I saw another tiger and it had a music box and it was so cute. Aww!!!! Then I went to the African tram and I saw giraffes, buffalos, elephants and baby goats. I also saw rhinos. Then we ate lunch late. After that, we didn’t go on the carousel because we were too late. So I went home, ate, and got ready to go to Bob and Julie’s house for dinner. I couldn’t see the fair from their house. I told them a joke called highway 22. Then after dinner I was tired and we finally went home.

My favorite part of the weekend was the Safari Park because I had fun. My least favorite part was nothing because it was great! Overall, my weekend was so amazing. Next weekend, I want to either go to the market or go to the library. I want to do one of these things because it will be so fantastic!!!

Weekend of May 30, 2014

My weekend was so great! It started on May 30th and was filled with fun things like going to Old Town with my class, seeing Savi, going horseback riding, playing Wii, going to a music festival, seeing Sarah without having a dance lesson, and going to grandma’s house for dinner.

On Friday, I woke up and got ready to go on the AMTrack to Old town with my class. When we got there, I thought, “Holy cow.” I went in the shops and it was so precious because there were different types of Mexican objects and Linda thought that she wanted to give Dr. Palmer a nice gift. She found some beautiful earnings with stones. So pretty! Then our class went on a walking tour and this lady was so clear that I could understand her well, so it was really fun and interesting because you learn the history of Old town which is also a nature park. It’s true. Then, I got so confused. I thought there was a show at noon but actually we saw a sign in this area called Fiesta de Reyes which said, “it’s Friday Saturday and Sunday night at 5:30.” I thought, “oh! We will miss it!” When we finished having lunch, we walked back to the train station and I thought, “Ok if that is the area for the trolley, the coaster line for handicapped must be under the smelly tunnel.” It wasn’t because we asked a police where the coaster line was and he showed us and then I was like, “where’s our class?” and finally I saw Mr. Wickman in his pink shirt like what my dad wears. So we went back to Solana beach and when we were riding the train I could see the back of the Del Mar fairgrounds and the beautiful ocean. At night, Savi came and we talked but my friend had a small headache.

On Saturday, I went horseback riding on Scout and my instructor’s favorite horse is Mark which Ethan rides. So I rode around and across the arena, which teens like. I also fed him peppermints. Then, me and my dad walked to the animal hospital to go potty and I saw 3 horses. 1 of them was sick and it was getting better. I then went home and I was supposed to have a friend but Judy, my mom’s friend who played duo violinists together in the La Jolla symphony Orchestra conducted by Steven Schick, said that Hunter and Paul, her kids were so busy so they didn’t come. Too bad. Also, the worst thing that ever happened to me was I wanted to play a special Wii game that I haven’t tried before called Epic Mickey and all of a sudden this popup said “This game disk could not be read.” I thought, “maybe it’s dirty.” It must have dirt you know? So after that didn’t work I tried ANOTHER game called Petz Horse club and it worked. It was the loveliest game you can ever imagine. You basically practice a race then you explore the farm. In one part of the game, you get instructions from the game on how to brush, wash and pick hoofs on a horse and it’s an inspiring game for me. Also there was no new Lawrence Welk show because I think the next theme is the county fair, maybe or the 4th of July. Who knows, anyways that was on Saturday.

Now, on Sunday boy was it busy. First though, Rachel came and I exercised and had meds late. I finished eating late that was ok. Then, I drove over to temple Solel. Why? There was a music festival like the fair. Let me tell you everything we did. First Craig’s band had the most wonderful students that I knew like there was Craig Parks who was the host of their show, and an amazing guitarist and harmonicist and I saw Andrew Sweet from the Advanced jazz band. They were so powerful. They did some pop Jewish songs like Weird Al and I loved it so much. In fact, I even greeted them after their show. It was so hot outside and I walked around. We ate, then saw another band in the teen stage, drove to Rachel’s house, and practiced drums for my concert tonight. Also, when I played my song there was Sarah knocking at my window and waving to me. Oh no I forgot there was dance. So she came and I was like, “too late, we have to go to dinner.” We went to grandma’s house and the dogs were running around. Plus, we called Grandpa M because it was his 93rd birthday. Also, we heard birds and wind chimes ooh! After dinner, my dad showed my family a sideshow of his trip to Saint Croix, and there were some videos of the glowing fish under the Bioluminescence. Others were when he was in the ocean diving underwater and there was this octopus and this big lobster. It was so cool, like a giant eel. Then we came home and I was so tired and it was like almost 9. So I fell asleep. Zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz……..

My favorite part of the weekend was when we went to the music festival and when we went to Old Town. Also, I loved when my dad showed us his sideshow on the TV screen because it was so cool. My least favorite part was when I forgot about dance not because I didn’t like it, it was because I just forgot that’s all! Also, when I got in to the temple, there was no parking plus it was so loud at first. Overall, my weekend was I guess fine part bad again I don’t know but if my next weekend turns out part bad again who knows what will happen right? Next weekend, I want to go see that new tiger trail at the Safari park or go shopping for my new shoes. I want to do one of these things because it will be awesome!

Memorial Day Weekend May 23, 2014

My long weekend was so awesome. Wow! It was filled with great things like going to Moonlight Beach,  going to Linda’s house to see her dogs,  going to O.T., going to the Aquarium, going to LEGOLAND, going to the Zoo, and having my last jazz band practice.

On Friday, I went to Moonlight beach with my class.  It was so pretty because the waves that I saw were like birds gliding along the water. Then we walked to go to the Lumberyard for lunch and after that, I went to this garden that looked like a big jungle. After we were done, Linda, Arlie and I were walking back when there were 2 houses that looked like a ship. They were so amazing. Ooh we then drove all the way to Linda’s house which is past my temple and it was up on a hill and she showed me her dogs, Gabi, Bonsi, Lucy, and Miracle who is a blind dog! Then I saw [husband] Mark and the chickens he had. It was so funny Mark found 60 toy chickens. In fact, I got one from him as a gift for my dad. I loved her house so much I thought, “I want to move there!” Later, I went to O.T. There, I practiced turning nobs like when you have a music box. After that, I practiced tying.

Saturday, I slept in, then I was tired when I first woke up so I went back to sleep. At around I think 8 I finally woke up and in the morning I didn’t practice piano or drums and same as on Sunday. So I watched Jessie and I Didn’t Do It which are the funniest Disney channel shows for teens not for babies. So one part I saw was when Jessie said “I can’t beat you at this game of Chess anymore.” Her sister is like “Oh yeah? Well, I can beat you for sure like a monster, just you watch. ” I was thinking “what! Whoa, are they crazy? I think that’s so dumb!” Oh yeah the girls really ARE funny after all! Anyways, so around 11:30 Rachel and I drove to the zoo but guess what happened that was weird. This time, it was when we were trying to park our car but there was …NO PARKING… p a r k i n g! Wait what did I say? No parking! That’s right! I am telling you that we couldn’t park even if there’s a little room to park there wasn’t. It was packed of cars. So what did we do? We didn’t go inside it, or around it, what we did was we went to the aquarium and AH! Finally! The most wonderful thing happened to me I was so happy because we found parking. Phew finally. Again, we did something wonderful. We saw this dive show. And it was on a projector in the middle of the walkway on the wall and it was like videotaping the fish. I saw one funny fish that had pursed its lips like a baby fish. Another funny thing was there was this scary fish but it was so funny it looked like a small baby piano. I then went home and Rachel and I saw Frozen and I heard this great song that I love, ”Let it go, let it go, la la la la…here I stand in the light of day, let the storm move onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! The cold doesn’t bother me anyway.” Another song was called “do you want to build a snowman?” and Anna was saying, “Elsa? Come do you want to come and play? La da da de da….I know that you’re in there.”

Sunday, Rachel had never been to LEGOLAND, NEVER! We got there and we rode some of the awesome rides that they have like the Fairytale boat ride but they changed some of it. Now, instead of seeing Hansel and Gretel and the witch on the other side of the lane you see Snow White. But the music for that stayed the same with the same bells in it. Then I went on the bike ride twice. Why two times you ask? Well you see, at 12:00 there was the fire show and after that the kids can say hi to the performers up close like a meet and greet. After the kids left, the performers changed clothes and went back to work in the back of fun town. One actor came up to me to say hi and I wanted to ask him if he wanted to go on the Sky cruiser with me and his boss is a signer so she said sure but at what time? Well I told him 1, BUT, UNFORTUNATELY HE HAD A SHOW AT 2. I was like, “wait a minute, if he has a show at 2 that means that we can meet at either 2:15 or 2:30.” I chose 2:15 but when we were waiting in line he didn’t show up so Rachel was like “2 more minutes and then we go on it.” But finally he came and we went on it.

On Monday, I went to the zoo with Arlie and there was parking. So I walked down past the apes and into Monkey trail. There were 12 chimps and 3 were eager to find food. Some birds that I saw were when we were in the line at the funniest showing of Rio in 4d and 3d and at camp Critters. Jake was so funny. Then when we went to the snakes we were like,” wow, and ewwwwwwwwwwwwww! So gross! I am getting out of here Noooo!!!! Run for your life.” So we went to sky Safari, the train and the carousel, plus, I had jazz band with Lenny, Estray Ejhon, Mark, me, and Scott.

My favorite part of the weekend was seeing my friends at jazz band and that the guy accompanied me on that fun ride. My least favorite part was we didn’t find parking to go to the zoo on Saturday.  Plus, I didn’t like the fact that my dad was not here either because I miss him. Overall, my weekend was thrilling and part bad. Next weekend, I want to spend time with my dad since he will be back tomorrow night. I also want to either go to Old Town or go to another beach. I want to do one of these things because it will be so delightful.
